In this video, Shaun Bryant shows you how to set the current drafting layer when working in an AutoCAD web drawing.
- [Instructor] And as usual, for this chapter,…we're staying in the CountryCabin_001.dwg file.…It's available in the library to download…if you do want to upload it to AutoCAD Web at any point.…Now, in the previous video, we were looking at Layers…and we created a new drafting layer…in the Layers panel over on the left-hand side.…And it was called DIM2.…So, just make sure you go to Layers here…and then scroll down the list until you find DIM2…There it is there.…
Now, what I'm going to do is…I'm going to double-click on DIM2.…Now, when I double-click on it, you'll notice…I get this little sort of blue triangle on the corner.…That is letting you know that…that is the current drafting layer.…If I went and clicked on DIM, like so,…it just moves it along a bit.…If I go to DEFPOINTS, DEFPOINTS is then the current layer.…You don't even have to double-click.…I always double-click, it's just a force of habit…from my regular, desktop AutoCAD.…But you can just click the once and there you go.…DIM2 is now the current drafting layer.…
