Join Shaun Bryant for an in-depth discussion in this video Setting AutoCAD point styles, part of AutoCAD: Tips & Tricks.
- [Instructor] Welcome to another one of the AUtoCAD…tips and tricks.…Now what we're going to look at in AutoCAD…this time is point styles,…or the point style in your AutoCAD drawing.…So you'll notic I've got a new drawing open.…You can download that, as usual, from your exercise files.…And you'll notice it's a very, very…simple drawing.…We've got one line.…And there's our one line there, if I hover over it…you'll see the tool tip there is telling me…that it is on the Objects layer,…dolor by layer,…linetype by layer.…
Now, point styles, what are they all about?…Well, they allow you to place a point…on a given object.…So, for example, I can place as many points as I want…on that line.…I can use various snaps…such as the endpoint snap,…midpoint snap, and so on.…I could also, for example, if I drew a circle…place a point on the center snap of the circle.…Or a quadrant snap on the circle, for example.…We're just going to use a simple line…and we're going to use two endpoints…and the midpoint…to place some points on the line itself.…
