- In the previous video, we talked about scaling a little bit when we were talking about the printing and plotting workflow. Now you'll notice I'm still in the Output tab up there on the ribbon and I've got all my settings there where I can obviously plot, preview, go to the Page Setup Manager, export to DWF, PDF, and so on. All of that we will look at as we go through the course. What I want to talk about right now is scaling and how scaling works when you're plotting and publishing in AutoCAD itself. Now you'll notice I'm back in the Model tab. Now I'm back in the Model tab for a reason. The reason we're in there is I want to show you how the scaling works within AutoCAD. AutoCAD works within two spaces. You have model space, which is the Model tab, which is where we are now, and you have paper space, which is your layout tabs.
