Revolve boundaries to create surfaces
- [Lecturer] In this video we're going to model the fork from this two dimensional geometry. Let's begin by considering the fork shaft. I'll double click on that layer to set it current if it's not already. And then use Surface, Revolve, and revolve this round polyline, Enter, around the center line and we actually have a line that we've drawn earlier that represents that center line, so I can select that by using the Object option, then just click on that line and press Enter to accept the 360 degree rotation. Erase defining objects, I'll say no. Then change the current layer to ForkBody, 3D version. Again, revolve, this time the orange polyline, Enter. Using the Object option, you can click on that line, press Enter, Erase defining objects, no. And now I'll orbit around and take a look here at these elements which need to be welded on. I'll go to the Solid tab this time and Extrude these regions up 10 millimeters. I will erase the defining objects, because I don't need those regions…
