Renaming drawing files

- [Instructor] Renaming your drawings is very straightforward using Project Manager. But there are few rules we have to follow to ensure our files remain associated with the current project. So let's take a look at renaming files. What I'm going to do is create a new drawing and I'm going to call this one O2 O4 PID and OK. So let's assume that somebody else was going to be working on O3 so we named our file O4. So as the way things work out somebody comes along and says no your file is going to be O3 after all. So if we've done some significant work on this obviously we don't want to start again so we'll rename that file. So what we want to do is close the file so when you see the asterisk there it means that there's been work done. So save the file and click the X to exit. And you'll see the padlock's gone meaning that file's available for editing. So we can't rename a file while it's open so now that we're closed we can right-click on this and actually first let's take a look in…
