Putting objects onto standard layers

- [Instructor] In the previous video, we set up a drawing template file, a DWT file, with the appropriate layer states that we wanted, all the layer naming philosophy, the line types, the line weights and so on, all adhering to a known standard. In this case, BS1192, the British standard 1192 for CAD drawings. Now that template, what I've done is I've revised it a little bit and saved it for you so that we can use it for this particular video in the chapter. So, what we're going to do is we're going to open up a new drawing from that particular template file. You can download it from the library, and just store it in a known location so that you can then create a new drawing from it, and that's what we're going to do now. So I've got AutoCAD open in the start tab, and all I'm gonna do is go up to new here on the quick access toolbar, like so.
