- Depending on the type of linked CAD file that you're using you can also provide overrides on things like lines and patterns as well. And patterns in Revit are basically the equivalent of hatching in AutoCAD, just so that you know. What we're going to do is we're going to stay in our default Revit project with our linked CAD file as you can see on the screen. And I'm going to zoom in on this area here, top left. So just roll upwards on the wheel, zoom in, do a little bit of panning, get it central on the screen, like so. Now what you'll notice there is all the internal walls are using a solid line. Can you see that? They've all got a solid line going on at the moment. Now it may be that you want to change the line that you are using, that you might want it to be a dashed line, for example. And you might want it to be a different color to highlight an area in the linked CAD file ready for someone to work on in Revit. And perhaps not generating that part of the model first. Now that's…
