Projecting elevations from the model
- Now that we have a base view we can create projections from it. Go to the Layout tab if it's not already selected, and click Projected. The cursor says Select parent view. Click on this and move the cursor around. Look at what's happening here. We have lots of preview images showing us different projections that we can make from this model. I'll click right here to project a left view, right here to project a top view, and over here to project a right view. I'll also click up here somewhere to create an isometric projection, and then press Enter. I'll select this top view and try to move it with the grip. I can move it up and down, but I can't move it left and right. That's because it remains aligned with the base view. It's possible to break this association, and you can do that by opening the Properties panel. Type PR enter. There's a parameter called View alignment, which is currently set to Aligned.
