Join Shaun Bryant for an in-depth discussion in this video Other Autodesk Certified Professional exams, part of Cert Prep: AutoCAD Certified Professional (2015).
- [Instructor] As I mentioned previously in some of the other videos in this particular section, there are a lot of other Autodesk products that you can get professional certification for. So what I've done, I've jumped back to the Certiport homepage again, certiport.com, and what you do is you go to Products here, and you'll notice that there's the Autodesk Certified User, there's the Autodesk Certified Professional. So if I click on Certified Professional, which is what this particular lynda.com course is for, you'll notice now that there's an intro and here's all the certifications over here on the right hand side.
So we've got AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Inventor, we've got all three flavors of Revit, Architecture, MEP, and Structure, we've also got Autodesk Maya, and we've also got Autodesk 3D Studio Max. So you can see there that we've got all the different products. Now if I go and click on one of these, like Autodesk AutoCAD, it'll take me to that particular link. And it tells me now all about the Certified Professional Exam. So you can see that there's the Current Version and there's the 2015 Version.
So if I click on Current Version PDF here it'll take me to another PDF from the Certiport page, takes a few seconds to load up, 'cause you'll see why in a minute, it's quite pretty and very colorful. And what'll happen now is it'll tell me all about the Certified Professional exam. So there's another PDF that I can download, if I scroll down you can see there, Recommended Experience Level is there, so there's the Training, the course, Hands-on Experience for Certified User, 50 hours, and there's the course again and the 400 hours. If I come down here, there's all the information about what I need to know as a professional before I take my AutoCAD Certified Professional exam.
So you can see there that all of this information is included in this lynda.com course, so you can start using things like layouts and printing, annotating drawings, and so on. So all of this will be available in the course itself and the good thing is we'll take you through loads of examples, so that you know all the background knowledge, so that when you walk into that exam you've got all of that knowledge in your head that you can use to help yourself pass the exam. Now as I must stress though, this is not a guarantee of passing the exam.
If you do this lynda.com course we can't guarantee that you're going to pass. That is up to you, that is up to you to utilize what you've learned and answer the questions in the exam effectively, but more importantly, accurately and getting them right. Once you've got them right and you've passed you become that AutoCAD Certified Professional. So as you can see, there's lots of different products out there and all you've got to do is use your browser and go and open them up. So if I go back up here now to the Certiport tab I can look at Civil 3D.
So if I go here there's Inventor, Revit Architecture for example, that would probably be a very normal step up from AutoCAD. So if I go to Current Version here that'll open up another tab you can see in my browser, another PDF, and again, they're quite colorful, so they take a few seconds to load up. They are very pretty I have to admit, Certiport have done a good job with the pretty colors. So we come down here and it now tells me all about the Recommended Experience Levels for Certified User and Certified Professional. So it's still the 50 hours and the 400 hours, but when I come down here here's all the information I need to learn about to take my Revit Certified Professional exam.
Now again, you will find a course very soon for Revit Certified Professional on the lynda.com website. So if you want to take your Revit Certified Professional exam here's the training resource that you need and you also need to take the Revit Essential Training as well. So make sure that you've got all the knowledge about Revit to assist you in getting your Certified Professional status.
