- So now we come to the close of our AutoCAD Facilities Management: Areas course. I do hope you've enjoyed the course. More importantly I do hope that you've learned more about using AutoCAD for facilities management, especially with highlighting areas, room areas, and obviously their subsequent area values. In this case, in this particular course, in meters squared for example. So you'll notice there that we're still in this zero zero ground FMT data .DWG that we used in the previous chapter. And that's the sort of drawing you should end up with. It's a fairly simplistic drawing, but you get the idea, you get the process, you get the workflow, you get the overview. So the whole idea is is that you can highlight all of the room areas, calculate their physical area, and then in the table here, actually display those areas on the drawing so that people know what those area values are.
