Modifying the drawing layer styles
- AutoCAD users put a lot of time and energy into making sure that their layer standards are established and used by everyone in a company. That way their drawings look consistent, they have color separation, and all the layers have the proper names. Inside of Inventor, we have the ability to make changes to the layers to make them look like the AutoCAD standards that you're used to. In this case, in the Annotate tab, we'll select the Edit Layers tool. Inventor automatically maps geometry to the proper layer. Let's make some changes to those layers to have our drawing look better. First, let's take a look at Center Marks. Let's change the color by simply selecting the layer that we want, by simply selecting the color swatch, and selecting the color that we want. Let's do the same for Hatch. And Hidden lines as well. For Dimensions, we need to make sure that we maintain consistently for our dimensions as well as our symbols, to make sure that our callouts are the proper color. We can…
