Model the front hub
- [Instructor] Our next mission is to model a front hub, which is shown here with this red spline. What I need to do is hide some of this information that we see on the screen right now. I'll type layiso, Enter, and click on this object and isolate everything else. Now I'd like to revolve this around the central axis. I'll reset the coordinate system, ucs, Enter, Enter so that the blue axis is the one that goes up and down. And then I'll create a solid with the Revolve command. Select this object, Enter. And click these two endpoints to establish the axis. Press Enter, and then we will choose not to erase the defining object. However this object is still on the 2D layer, so it's called FrontHub. Let's go ahead and create a new 3D layer from that. Called -FrontHub. And I will change the color to green and set this layer current. And then I'm going to change the layer assignment of this object by going over to Properties and changing the layer to the 3D equivalent. Now we need to cut…
