Model the cranks using the solid tools and point filters

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to model the cranks. These are the elements that connect the pedals with the drive unit. Let's turn on all the layers. Type layOn, Enter, and let's isolate the cranks layer. So, type L-A-Y ISO, LAYISO, Enter. I'll isolate that layer, along with the sprocket layer. Now, let's create a 3D layer for the cranks. So, I'm going to locate the 2D layer, select that, and make a new layer called -Cranks, and I'll make that current, and I'll change its color to something different. I'll use cyan in this case, and then I'll copy this sketch, here, of the cranks, down some arbitrary distance below using ortho. So, it's directly below. Let's examine what we have, here. We have some lines and different circle objects. It would be useful if we had a boundary object that went all the way around the exterior of this, so I'll use the trim command, tr, Enter, Enter, to select all edges as cutting edges.
