Loft with the Path option
- [Instructor] The element that we're trying to model here follows a straight path, but its cross-section changes over the length of that path. It's bigger over here and it continuously gets smaller to where it ends over there. And it takes this spline path through 3D space. To model this, all we need to do is draw in two cross-sections, one at the start, and one at the end. And we already have the path that we want this element to take. So let's begin over here and I'd like to draw a circle on the original x,y plane of the world system. So I'll type UCS, enter, enter, to go back to the world system. And then I'll draw a circle centered here and terminating right there. That's our first cross-section. Now over here, we need another cross-section, and that has to have a different size. So I'm going to measure that by using the distance command, di, enter. And I'll measure that across this opening and that's 12 millimeters in diameter. And then I'll come up here, change the UCS back to…
