Linking a CAD file

- [Instructor] In the previous video I showed you how to import a CAD file into a Revit project. So we're still in the Revit project. It's that basic Revit project that I created from scratch. So you can see in the project browser I haven't even renamed the floor plans. We've got Level 0, Level 1, and Site. And you can see that we're currently in the Level 0 floor plan in the view here in the drawing area. Now, we imported a CAD file last time. The process this time is to link a CAD file to your Revit project. Now the workflow is exactly the same. It's still on the Insert tab in Revit, but you go up to the Link panel and select Link CAD. There's Link CAD. There's Import CAD. Now, when you link a CAD file, basically any changes that are made to that CAD file will reflect in the Revit project. As long as you've got that linked CAD file visible in your Revit project you will see the changes. So if you've placed a Revit wall on top of lets say a CAD wall in the DWG file when you start…
