The Link CAD Formats dialog box
- [Instructor] So we're in the next video in the chapter now and we're staying in our 07_OFFICE.rvt file. You'll notice I've let Revit in exactly the same state as it was at the end of the last video. We're just clicked on the link CAD command in the Link panel in the Insert tab on the ribbon, and the Link CAD Formats dialogue box had popped up on the screen, so there it is, the Link CAD Formats dialogue box. Now you'll notice that the dialogue box as I said in the previous video is remarkably similar to the Import CAD Formats dialogue box, but what you're doing is you're performing a different function. You are linking a CAD file to your Revit project this time, so it's linked. It's not just a one off import CAD snapshot. So you can see there that I've got the 07_OFFICE_ReceptionArea drawing ready to be linked, and I'm just going to go through the dialogue box very briefly and then we'll go through the settings in more detail.
