- In addition to leveraging the 3D data for creating 2D geometry, this data can also be used to augment the annotation in the drawing. Let's see how this can be done. First, let's add a note that specifies the material that will automatically update if the material of the part changes. On the annotate tab, start our text tool, and we'll locate where we want our note to be. Fill out the note, to read material. And rather than typing in a value in or trying to remember what the material we made this part out of, I can set a value that's automatically updated. I can go to the type pull down, say that I want a model property, that I want the material property. And then add that as a parameter to the text. I'll say okay, and it will generate the text that I want. In this case, I would like to see that a little more clearly. So again, I'll click double click, and I'm able to select from the pull down of standard text sizes based on our template for our note. Very good. There's another…
