Layer naming philosophy

- [Instructor] We're staying in the LayerStandards.dwg file and as you can see, I've still got that layers panel pinned open from the previous video. Now what we can do is we can unpin that now and that'll obviously pop back into the ribbon like so. I'd like you to stay in the Home tab though in your AutoCAD in your drawing right now because what we're gonna look at now is the layer naming philosophy in all of your AutoCAD drawings. Now this is really important even if you are just linking your drawing to the Revit project because you can still interrogate layers in Revit in a linked dwg file and that's really important because you might want to know what layer a dwg object is on even when you've got it linked in through Revit, it's really important that you have a good layer naming philosophy.
