Key differences in the user interfaces

- While basic navigation of the model is similar between AutoCAD and Inventor, there are many functional items in the interface that are either unique to Inventor or behave differently than they do in AutoCAD. Some of these elements are critical to Inventor's function, and it's important that you understand how they work. The first item, the most important element and the most obvious, is on the lefthand side of the screen by default. It's called the browser. The browser shows me how my assembly, or part, or drawing, or any other file is structured. Passing over the browser, I can see that I have an assembly with parts that will highlight on the screen as I select them. I see how those parts are constructed, what elements are contained within them, and I gain access to editing those components through the browser.
