Insertion scale
- [Instructor] So we're still in the 02_DesignCenter.dwg file. You'll notice I've left Design Center open in the drawing there and you can see the blocks that we brought in, in the previous video. Now I will have mentioned in previous videos about this insertion scale and how AutoCAD can somehow recognize an imperial block in inches in Design Center and yet when I drag it into my metric millimeters drawing, it knows to scale it up accordingly and convert it to millimeters. So the tables and chairs there, and the bath, they've all come in and they are in metric millimeters. So if I just got to the Utilities panel here, and I go to Measure, like so, on the home tab on the ribbon and go Distance, when I measure my bathtub like so, it's one five two four, and that's in millimeters. So how does it know to do that? I'll just exit the Measure command there. Well it knows that because we have an insertion scale setting in AutoCAD.
