Join Shaun Bryant for an in-depth discussion in this video Inserting title blocks and borders, part of AutoCAD Mechanical Essential Training.
- [Instructor] We're now in the TITLEBLOCKS_BORDERS.DWG file…and you can see it's a blank drawing…set to the ISO settings, metric settings,…and what we're going to look at is how we bring in…title blocks and borders into…a new AutoCAD Mechanical drawing.…Now, when you bring in title blocks and borders…into AutoCAD Mechanical, it's a very different work flow…and process to your regular AutoCAD…if that's what your used to.…So, we go to the Annotate tab up here on the ribbon,…like so, and you'll see in the Sheet panel we've got…Title Border, Parts List, Hole Chart, Fits List, and Table.…
Now if I just click on this little arrow here,…what it does is it allows me…to look in my AutoCAD Mechanical Options at my…AM, AutoCAD Mechanical, Standards.…So you can see my standard is ISO…and my measurement in this case is metric,…and default model scale is 1:1.…Now if I go over here and go to Double-click to edit,…you'll notice there is a Drawing Sheet option.…I'm going to double-click on that…and you'll notice it defaults to an A3, ISO Title Block A.…
