Importing the CAD detail drawing
- [Instructor] We're staying in our OFFICE_Reception Area.rvt file, and the view that we're in at the moment in the Project Browser, you can see it there, it's one of the drafting views, It's DETAIL 001-Parapet Detail. And what we're going to do now is we're going to import the CAD drawing of the standard detail from AutoCAD into this DETAIL 001 drafting view. So we go to the Insert tab on the ribbon, and it's just like importing any other CAD drawing into your Revit project. You go Import CAD, and you'll notice that we've got a DWG file for you. It's called Parapet Detail_M.dwg. Download that from the library and then use it to follow along with these particular videos. So you see there's our Parapet Detail there. When I click on it, you can see the detail there. You can see the section through, you can see the brick work and the roof and various leader lines and text. Now you've got a choice here when you import the CAD drawing. You can set the colors to black and white, you can set…
