Geometric tolerances
- [Teacher] So once again we're staying in the 02 annotative objects drawing, and as usual, I've saved it as we've gone along as per each video, and as promised, I'll make sure that you have a completed version of this drawing as well. So that you can investigate all of the annotation, the scaling and the annotative qualities of all the objects we've discussed in the chapter. Now, one of the other annotative objects that you can use in AutoCAD 2017 is what they call Geometric tolerances. Now these tolerances are not part of your dimension style. It's not the tolerances that you have in your dimension styles that you set up in AutoCAD. These are geometric tolerances, and they use a dialogue box where you set up what they call frame controls. And it allows you to add little symbols and obviously numbers to explain the tolerances and the values of those tolerances. And you simply use the tolerance command. Now normally you put those on a text or dimensions layer. So go to the Home tab on…
