Generating a comparison drawing
- [Instructor] So we're staying in our DWG compare command and we've got the two drawings open. DWG compare 001, DWG compare 002, and we go to the DWG compare dialogue box where we basically selected the drawings to compare, and I explained why those little color boxes, the green and the red, we use to basically set up detail for each of the drawings in the comparison drawing. What we're going to do now is generate our comparison drawing. Now the benefit you have if you've got the drawings open already, is that you can see detail on the drawings that obviously is different between the two drawings. But what DWG compare does, is it creates a separate drawing, comparing those elements of each of the drawings. So when I hit the compare button now, what you'll find is another drawing is generated in AutoCAD. And you'll also find that your DWG compare has suddenly expanded to these three panels in the ribbon. So you've got a compare tab now in the ribbon, and you've got comparison, compare…
