Extruding and shelling solids

- In this video we'll create the exterior walls using extruded shapes and the shell tool to make them hollow. To start, I wanna move and rotate this front elevation into place for easier reference. I'll click on it, it's a block so it's got this one grip on the side. I click the grip, hit the space bar once to get into the Move command, and then snap it to that front corner. Orbit around. Select it and now I'm gonna type 3DROTATE. I will click in that corner to move the gizmo. Click on that red ring. Sort of extend out 90 degrees and pull it up and snap to that vertical face there. Now I wanna go ahead and change my UCS and so it's more in line with a front view. I'm going to type UCS, enter, X, enter, 90 degrees, enter to rotate that UCS 90 degrees around the X axes. I'm gonna change the active layer to Exterior Walls. We can start drawing them. And I'm going to trace our 2D elevation. I'll extrude that shape. Back to there. Let's write ah, one more poly line.
