Extruding on a path

- In this video, we'll create details by extruding on a path. I'm going to have a closer look at our foundation, zoom in and also type LAYTHW to thaw out those layers. You can see that my UCS coordinates are already in a front view. I just need to change my active layer to 3D foundation and then I'll use the rectangle tool, REC enter and snaps to create a rectangle. Now let's switch into a 2D wire frame visual style. I want to create essentially an outline all around my plan drawing. To do so, I'm going to need to change my USC again. USC, enter, X, enter, 90, enter, to rotate 90 degrees around the X axis. Then I can go in and create this path then I'm going to extrude that little rectangle on. Type EXT enter for extrude, select my rectangle, enter and then if I look down at the command line I have some options and one of them is that I can type P for path, enter and select path that I want to extrude on. You can see how it creates that nice detail all the way around the foundation…
