Extrude a walkway

- [Instructor] Let's take a closer look at the second floor plan. I'm interested in this area here, that's enclosed by these light blue lines. This is actually going to be a walkway that will be paved. And it will connect the building, the stairs, and this wing of the building. So let's model that next. In order to do that, we need to generate a closed Polyline that we can turn into a solid by extruding it. To create that closed Polyline, we need to have an enclosed area, in which to find its boundary. And I notice over here, on this door opening that we don't have any, anything closing this off. So I'm going to set the layer of this line current by typing "laym" for layer, make current, Enter. Now click on this line. And that should set this layer current, which is "A Floor". And then I'll draw a line across this opening. And we need to do this same thing over here on this side. Draw a line, on that layer right there. We also should turn off the door layer.
