See how to extrude a wall above the roof and subtract the volume of the roof from it. Then, see how to clean up the complex volume using PRESSPULL. You can also fill in another wall section by sketching its edges and converting the sketch into a solid.
- [Instructor] If you look closely at the wall…underneath this roof, you'll notice that…it doesn't extend up to the roof,…so we need to correct that.…Hold down the control key and…click on this surface to select it.…And then move that up in the blue direction…until the wall penetrates through the roof.…It doesn't have to go all the way,…but at least somewhat.…Press escape to deselect.…And now I'd like to subtract the volume…of the roof from the wall.…But when I do that, I'm going to lose the roof.…So, thinking ahead, I'm going to copy the roof in place.…
So I'm going to copy that back to the…same place, thereby making a duplicate.…Then I'll subtract from the wall, enter.…A copy of the roof, enter.…It looks the same, but the volume…was subtracted from the wall.…To see that, we need to isolate the wall.…So click on the wall, and isolate it.…And you can see that we have a…very complex inner section here.…I'd like to clean up the volume here…that's just floating out in space.…
I can do that with press pull.…I'll press pull this surface back and snap it there.…
