Exporting from AutoCAD 2014 or earlier

- If you're using Autocad 2013 or earlier, or you're working with Autocad for the Mac, you'll need to use the export option to create an STL for 3D printing instead. First off, let's switch up our UCS. I'm gonna type UCS, enter, W, enter to return us to the World Coordinate System. See XY plane is parallel with the ground plane. The UCS is actually really important when we're exporting and we want it to be in the correct orientation. The new 3D printing command in the newer versions of Autocad has a option for scaling when you export, and we don't have that option. I typically like to do my scaling in model space. You can do it in your post processing, but this is a file that's 35 feet long at this point. Dealing with those measurements can get a little bit confusing. Let's do it now. We have all of our important layers turned on that we're going to 3D print. I'm going to select our model. I'm gonna scale from the origin. I'm gonna type scale, enter. I'm gonna specify the base point…
