- [Joshua] As we saw in our last video, Civil 3D will create the _Shortcuts directory for you if you create a new data shortcut project in Civil 3D. Normally companies will already have a project directory created well prior to working with Civil 3D drawing files. For example a project directory may be set up with the creation of the contract, or the agreement of the project. Or in the collection of research before you begin the project. Now because of this, and to provide standardization, many companies have a project directory template. We talked a little bit about how even Civil 3D can utilize that if you haven't set up the project directory prior. Now if you don't have a project directory template, I encourage you to set one up. If you already have a project directory template I encourage you to add the _Shortcuts folder to your directory template.
