Detailing an isometric projection
- Let's create a detailed projection. Go to the Layout tab and open up Detail. You can choose to make a Detail using a Circular or a Rectangular crop window. Let's zoom in on this isometric view. I'd like to get a detailed look at this area right here where there's a lot of complexity. We have two sets of sunshades here. Top set is for viewing the sun directly and the bottom set is for viewing their horizon. And so the user of the sextant can flip down as many sunshades as they need depending on the lighting conditions. Let's choose the Circular method, and then select this as the Parent View. It says "Specify Center Point". This would be the center of the circle. I'm going to click somewhere, maybe about here, and then you'll see that you're drawing a circle. Click to specify the boundary, and then a detailed projection is made and it's attached to the cursor. We need to specify a location for that down here somewhere. Enter.
