- [Scott] Hi, this is Scott Onstott and welcome to the course. I've been using AutoCAD since release 10 in the early 90's. And I've been teaching it professionally for about 20 years now. I'd like to share with you many of the tips and techniques that I have learned over these years to create 3D models. And we're going to be using all the latest tool sets, which include solid modeling tools, surface, and mesh tools. And we're going to apply all of these different tools to the project of modeling this e-bike. Now I don't expect that you're necessarily going to be designing a bicycle model, but I hope that you can extract the lessons learned in this course, and apply them to any type of geometry that you wish to make a 3D model out of. In this course, we're going to go from this 2D CAD drawing that I've supplied as the start point and we're going to end up with a 3D model of the bicycle, as you can see here. We're going to learn a lot along the way. And I hope you'll join me in this fascinating project.
