See how to reference several elevations to determine the extent of the clerestory windows in 3D, as well as how to cut notches in the walls to accommodate the windows.
- [Narrator] In this video we're going to cut notches…in the wall to accommodate the clerestory windows…shown in the various elevations.…Let's start with this elevation here.…I'll match up the UCS to this sketch by rotating the…system around the Y axis.…Type UCS, enter Y, enter enter to rotate the system.…And then draw a rectangle around the outer boundary…of all these windows here like that.…And then extrude the last object L back a short distance.…
And then move this object which we're going to use…as a tool to subtract a volume from the wall we're going to…move it back until it intersects somewhat with the…wall like that.…It's hard to see what's happening now so I'm going to…turn off the roof layer and you can see that this is…penetrating into the wall.…Now we're seeing an interference pattern here…between the white and red and I just want to pull this out…a little more so I'll hold down the control key…and click on that.…
Then pull this out so that it's clearly going through,…no it snapped.…So I need to pull that over and maybe I click to somewhere…
