Creating a simple dynamic block
- [Voiceover] You'll notice we're in a new drawing this time and we're in the 11_DynamicBlock.dwg file. It's basically a graphical representation of a door and a door swing. So you see, we've got a very narrow rectangle there, representing the door, a polyline, and we've also got an arc there representing the door swing. Now you'll notice that both of those objects are on layer zero, ready to become, in this case, a dynamic block. Now, when we edited blocks previously, I mentioned about editing a block in place. We're going to look now at the other way of editing blocks using the block editor in AutoCAD 2017. Now the block editor was primarily developed to allow you to create and manage your dynamic blocks. You can however, use it to edit regular blocks as well, if you wish. So once you've created a block, you can just select the block, right click, and on the shortcut menu, go into the bock editor, if you wish.
