In a P&ID project, all new drawings must be created using Project Manager. In this lesson, learn why it is so important to follow this rule.
- [Instructor] Now that we're ready…to start working on our P&ID project,…we need to create a drawing.…It's critical that we follow the correct procedure…to ensure that all the drawings…and data are actually registered to the project.…So for this,…we're going to use the Linkedin P&ID Project files.…So from your current project in Project Manager,…we're going to go to the dropdown menu and open.…On our Desktop,…in our Exercise files,…and you'll see this Linkedin P&ID folder.…When we open that folder,…we want to choose the Project.xml file…and open.…
So now let's take a look at our P&ID Drawings.…Want to expand this tab…and you'll see we have some files in here…that we're going to use for the duration of the project.…So what we're going to do is create a brand new drawing…from inside this project.…It's critical that we follow the correct procedure…to ensure that all the drawings and data…are registered to the project correctly.…So what we do when we create a new drawing,…look for the folder or the area…that you want to create the new file…
