Join Josh Modglin for an in-depth discussion in this video Create a project manually, part of AutoCAD Add-ins Using VB.NET.
- [Instructor] So far, we've been able…to create a Visual Studio project…and taken advantage of the setup…using the AutoDesk AutoCAD Wizard…to create this plug-in…or this Visual Studio project.…What, though, if we can't get the Wizard to install…or for some other reason,…we need to create this Studio project manually?…Well, let's walk through the steps of doing that…and again, remind ourselves of what…that Wizard's doing for us as well.…
So, we're going to create a new Visual Studio project,…this'll be a Visual Basic project,…so we're going to use a Visual Basic templates.…I'm not going to use the AutoDesk category,…but rather, the Windows…and then we're going to create,…from the sub-category Classic Desktop,…we're going to create a WPF Custom Control Library.…Now, the WPF Custom Control Library,…what that stands for is Windows Presentation Foundation,…it's a means to create the Windows, or the forms,…and we want to have accessibility to the tools…to be able to do that,…and so we're going to use that template…to speed up the setup for us.…
