- [Instructor] One of the greatest advantages…of using a CAD program…to create and maintain your plant P90…is the ability to copy and reuse components…that you have already created.…The time that we save by not having to create duplicates…is applied directly to your project budget.…When using intelligent P90, however,…we also have to consider how to copy…the valves and the components…without creating duplicate tags in the database.…Let's take a look at drawing 05_05,…and I'm going to place some valves on one of the lines here.…
Place a globe valve, and we'll pop that down here.…So you'll notice it gave us that automatic tag update.…I'm going to copy that valve just using standard AutoCAD.…Just move it along on this same line.…So you'll notice the first thing that happens is,…it does not automatically update that valve…to the next sequential number.…When you encounter a duplicate tag…it automatically creates a question mark.…And what this does is flags you in the database.…You know visually when you open this drawing,…
