Copy a project
- [Narrator] One of the really cool features available to you in AutoCAD Electrical is the ability to copy a project. Now it may be that you've worked on a project and you want to utilize it to generate a new project because a lot of the information is similar or the same. Now, the benefit with AutoCAD Electrical is you can do this very quickly and very easily, and more importantly, rename all the drawings and rename all the files. The one thing you must remember though is that all drawings in the project that you're going to copy must be closed. So, I've got DEMO02 open at the moment, so I'm just going to close that quickly. Save changes? Yes, please. Now, I want to copy my WDDEMO project. There it is there in the project manager, but what I need to have is a blank drawing open. So, I've got to have at least a drawing open, so what I would do here is just literally go up to New, and use the AutoCAD Electrical template there and just have a drawing open.
