Checking scaling of the block - AutoCAD Tutorial
From the course: AutoCAD: Tool Palettes
Checking scaling of the block
- [Instructor] So we're staying in the 08_Developing_Part2.dwg file and you can see I've got my little dynamic door block there, my palette is all set up, Door 900mm with the little lightning symbol there telling me it's a dynamic block. One of the things you should always, always check is your scaling of your block coming off of your palette. So it's a case of right-clicking, going to properties, and you can see there the scale is one to one. Now, if I just OK that and just click here and bring it in, you can see it's the same size. That's because I'm using a millimeters drawing and a millimeters block off of my tool palette. Now, be careful because you may have brought some imperial blocks in from design center into your palette, but you need to make sure the scalings appropriate because you might right-click here and go to properties again on your block, on your palette and that scale might still be set to 25.4, well you've changed the insertion scale. Remember the insertion scale…
