Changing the appearance of a model

- In an earlier lesson we looked at being able to access the physical information of a solid model in the 2D documentation. Let's take a moment now to take a look at how we can make sure that the material that will be used in the real world is reflected in our model. Let's also take a look at how we can change the appearance of our model to either make it more appealing or make it easier for others to understand what our design is. With a basic solid model, we can make the changes very quickly. There are a couple of places where we can establish what the material is. One is through the Quick Access Toolbar at the top, by simply selecting what the material might be. So, for example, if we wanted it to be plastic, we can select a different material. You'll see that the appearance of the model changes to reflect a generic appearance for that material. We can also right click on the model in the browser and go to the iProperties.
