Build the slab on grade

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to build a floor slab that these walls are going to rest on top of. I'll save some time by copying the existing ceiling down and adapting it to act as the floor. To do so, we first need a layer, so I'll create a new layer called dash FLOOR. I'll make that current and give it a different color. Let's say yellow. And then I'll come over here, zoom in, change the visual style to Wireframe so you can see through the object. Copy the ceiling from the top of the ceiling, and place that at the base of the wall, like that. And then, select that copied object and type QP, Enter, for quick properties, and change the layer assignment from CEILING to FLOOR. Press Escape, to close that window. So now we have an identical object and we'll go back in here and change this to Shaded with edges mode. And I'll orbit underneath, so you can see what we have here.
