In this video, see how to build a run of clerestory windows by extruding regions. You can infill these with glazing and group the assembly. You can then move the group into position inside the notch cut into the wall for this purpose.
- [Instructor] Lets go ahead and model…the clerestory windows themselves.…And I'd like to start with this sketch up here.…We see a bank of windows.…I'll begin by sketching in the windows on the proper layer.…So, I'm going to go to the 3D WINDOW Layer,…and make sure that the UCS is parallel with the sketch.…It looks like it is.…So I can draw in a rectangle here.…Representing the outer most part of that frame.…And then I'll draw rectangles in…each one of these glazed windows.…
To save time, I'll just COPY the last object…from this location over and I'll use the Array option.…Let's say we want 10 items, I'm not sure how many.…And I'm going to over estimate it and then I'll click…right here to copy those over.…Then I can go ahead and erase any extras that we have.…Let's turn off these layers.…I'll type layoff.…Turn off the WALL Layer and the WINDOW Layer.…
And let's also turn off this 2D WALL Layer.…Now I'd like to build some windows here.…So, I will start by making REGIONS out of all these things.…And then I'll Subtract and make sure…
