Autodesk has also released a specific Windows 8 app as well available in the Windows store. I'll open the store and I'm going to search for AutoCAD360. Here. we can see I've already got it installed, and we can read through the descriptions and see some screen captures. You can install it for free with your Microsoft login, and once it's installed, we can go back out and open it up. Once opened, I'll sign in with my same 360 credentials, and here, we find a fairly familiar interface, but there are some oddities with this version. Keep in mind this version is designed to function on all Windows 8 machines, including touchscreens and tablets, so some of the functions are built around the touch interfaces. If I select a file, it will immediately open. Like the mobile app, the tools are placed under categories like Create, Markup, Measure and Dimension.
