Applying hatches and gradients

- Another additional drafting tool that you might use in Autocad is the hatch gradient facility. Now I've got a new drawing open for you again to use. It's called additional underscore hatch gradient. You can download it from the website to use as the exercise from this video. Now you'll notice that we've got a little bracket there and you can see that's a side view and this is a sectional view. Now normally you would use something like hatching or cross hatching to highlight where you've cut a section through a particular object. So this is the sectional view on the right. So make sure you're using the hatch layer here in the layers panel in the home tab on the ribbon. The hatch command itself is in the draw panel and I click on the fly out here and select hatch. Now as soon as I do that you'll notice the ribbon changes and I've got the hatch creation contectual tab up there on the ribbon. Now I need to select a hatch pan.
