Apply background colors to hatch patterns

- [Narrator] We're staying in our 03 elevations 2D house drawing and what we're going to look at now is adding background colors to our hatch patterns. Now what you could do is you could go to the hatch command in the draw panel on the home tab and you could add a solid fill. Now a solid fill is great but you've gotta add that solid fill on a different layer. You've then gotta worry about whether the solid fill is on top of the hatch pattern, the brick work hatch in this case, and it all just gets a bit unwieldy. So one of the nice features that you have with hatches (mumbles) is the ability to add a background color. Now I'm just gonna hit escape a couple times to get out of that edit hatch command. I'm gonna go to the home tab on the ribbon and I'm gonna go to layer properties, and I'm gonna look at my elevation fill layer. Now we used that layer for the nice gradient fill for the slab at the bottom of the elevation. Now you'll notice it's color 61. We need to remember that, and…
