What you should know before watching this course (PC)

- [Instructor] So what should you know before you start this particular course? Well, one of the things that you should know is the version of AutoCAD Desktop App that we'll be using, and that's AutoCAD 2019. You can see it on the screen there at the moment and you can see that we've got the Country Cabin drawing open there, as well. You don't need to download the drawing from the library at the moment, but basically I've got a live drawing there, purely so that it looks a bit more interesting in AutoCAD. Now, we'll also be using the AutoCAD Mobile App. There's a couple of things that you need to know here that are quite important if you're running it on a tablet or perhaps a phone and so on and so forth. One of the things is, if you're running it on something like an iPad or perhaps an Android tablet, be aware that the later versions of the mobile app only run on the later operating systems of those tablets. So for example, if you're running something like an iPad Pro, you will need to make sure that that iPad Pro has an iOS of 10 or above to run with the latest version of the AutoCAD Mobile App, for example. It's always worth checking on the internet to make sure that you've got the right operating system, the right version, and more importantly, the right device, as well. You will need a slightly newer device rather than one of the older, sort of retro type Apple iPads, for example. So, that's basically all that you really should know. Obviously, we'll be using native DWG files in both AutoCAD Desktop App and AutoCAD Mobile App, as well. But that's pretty much it on what you should know for this particular course.
