Using the exercise files (PC)

- [Instructor] All of the Exercise Files for this course are stored in the library. And you can download them accordingly. What I'll do as we work through the course is specify which DWG file you should be using and whether you need to download it from the library or not. As you can see on the screen at the moment, we've got the Country Cabin_001.dwg file open. And that's the sort of file that you would download from the library and use for a particular exercise in a particular video. Now bear in mind that the DWG files that I'm saving for you to go into the library are 2013 DWG file format. Now, what that means is is any version of AutoCAD from AutoCAD 2013 and upwards can read those files. Just be aware that if you're using a newer version of AutoCAD, like AutoCAD 2019 or AutoCAD 2018, it does save to a 2018 DWG file format by default. So you will need to just make sure that you save back. All AutoCAD DWG files are backwards compatible, so you can save back to an older version if you need to. But just bear in mind, all the Exercise Files for this particular course are 2013 DWG, so as to allow more versions of AutoCAD to access the course and obviously learn how to use the AutoCAD mobile app.
