Understanding the Plant 3D tool palette
- [Instructor] Most of you, I'm sure, will be familiar with AutoCAD Tool Palettes. Tool Palettes are used to organize your blocks and symbol libraries into manageable, easy to retrieve groups. Now, we do use Tool Palettes for the 3D Piping Symbols, but the Tool Palettes work in a slightly different way. Let's take a look at the palettes and see what makes them different from the regular Tool Palettes. Now, let's take a look at what we have up on our screen right now. The Tool Palettes over here are dynamic. Now, what makes them different is they're not reading just a set of block libraries. They're actually reading your project specs. So I'm just going to go through and just show you what's available here right now. So, we're right now, we're looking at the Pipe Spec and if we scroll through, you'll see we've got all the spec components that we need.
