- [Instructor] Let's take a look at how we can generate reports, such as instrument lists, equipment takeoffs, build materials, et cetera. We know how to filter data, view data in Data Manager and export that to an Excel spreadsheet, but to generate a more formal report, we use an external program that comes with the Plant 3D product. So let's first open a project and take a look at the project that we're going to be running the reports on. So we navigate to our Desktop, EXERCISE FILES, Chapter 12, Project.xml. Now, we're not going to be working on this project. I just want to show you the structure and look at the drawings available in the information. So we have two P&ID drawings. We have some EQUIPMENT, PIPING, and STRUCTURAL. And just take a look at this hierarchy. The way that this is structured here.
