Orthographic overview
- [Narrator] One of the biggest problems we have in the CAD world comes when we have to create plans and sections as engineering deliverables. This usually requires a ton of work to create the viewport, set the scales, set the clipping, et cetera, and if you have to turn over the native drawing files when the project's complete, you have another set of problems to worry about. How do you send the drawings files with all the ex-drafts? Do you bind them, do you have to deal with the enormous file sizes? Do you send them with a list of ex-drafts knowing that the models changed? And the drawings will no longer be correct next time the file's opened. Let's take a look and see how Plant 3D has handled these problems. So let's go ahead and navigate to our chapter nine, we're going to open. Desktop, exercise files, chapter nine, project XML. And to start with, I want to take a look at our ortho drawing tab. So I want you to look at 0901 ortho, and I want you to open that up and take a look…
